New distribution center in Urbana expected to add about 120 job by the end of 2017
URBANA, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – Some new jobs will be popping up soon in the Miami Valley, as Navistar broke ground on its newest facility.
The company also dedicated the $12 million, 355,000 square foot building May 18. The distribution center will hold materials to support the Springfield operations, creating some new opportunities.
“This facility, when everything is said and done, will house approximately 114 to 120 individuals in Urbana,” manager of supply chain operations for Navistar Edward Franklin said, “and we’re looking at adding approximately another 40 when we do move in and consolidate all our operations in this new facility.”
The building is expected to be up and running by the end of 2017.
