Top 22 - 2017: Franklin's Ryan Montgomery

FRANKLIN -- Ryan Montgomery can do it all and the rising senior has done it all for Franklin.

After helping lead the Wildcats to an 11-1 season Montgomery and company are looking for even more in 2017.

Montgomery has been a terror to opposing defenses running for 1,935 yards and 41 touchdowns as a junior. But the multi-talented Montgomery also passed for 541 yards and racked up 518 more yards receiving.

As a junior he accounted 3,424 all-purpose yards and 46 total touchdowns.

"I've seen a lot of coaches come through and talked to a lot of coaches, it's his ability for a first step and that's not a coachable step, that's something you have," head coach Brad Childers said.

"He has great vision. He has that burst of speed right there once he makes his cut and that's what makes him special. He can run the ball and he can catch the ball out of the backfield and he can throw it whenever we choose to do that with some read stuff. He's a special kid."

"I get coached at every position so I've got to give it to my coaching staff and my teammates they help me and push me," Montgomery said.

"I think playing quarterback has benefited me a lot because I know everything by position and when I go over to defense and I'm playing safety I can read the quarterbacks' eyes."
