Miami Valley League reborn after GWOC split


The Miami Valley League (MVL) has been reborn after 10 schools left the Greater Western Ohio Conference. The MVL will begin in the 2019-2020 school year following the unanimous vote of approval from the schools' superintendents this week.

Butler, Fairborn, Greenville, Piqua, Sidney, Stebbins, Tippecanoe, Troy, West Carrollton and Xenia will make up the new MVL after competing in the GWOC's American Divisions.

The league was first chartered in 1926 eventually breaking up in 1975.

All ten schools will compete as members of the GWOC through the 2018-19 school year.

The MVL will have two divisions.

The Miami Division will feature Butler, Greenville, Piqua, Tippecanoe, and Troy. The Valley Division will be made up of Fairborn, Sidney, Stebbins, West Carrollton, and Xenia.
