KETTERING, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) -- A woman is found in her neighbor's backyard after a reported house explosion in Kettering. Firefighters were called to the house on Clairidge Drive on reports of an explosion. They tell us when they got to the house they found the woman had been thrown into her neighbor's yard. She was taken to Kettering Hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.

Kettering Fire Chief Tom Butts says it appears to be a natural gas explosion, but he could not confirm that until investigators get on scene. Firefighters also tell us they also found debris from the house in neighbor's yard and they are checking those homes for damage. Vectren has turned off the gas, so firefighters can fight the fire.
