Woman found dead in Miami Co. ditch died from drugs, coroner says
MIAMI CO., Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A woman found dead in a ditch along a Miami County road died as the result of drugs, investigators say.
Alicia M. Paulus, 38, of Shelby County, was found in a ditch along Loy Road near Alcony Conover Road in Brown Township on June 2. Preliminary investigation showed she was not a victim of homicide, but Paulus' body was taken to examined. The Miami County Coroner's office on Friday releaed that toxicology results showed Paulus died from "multiple drug intoxication."
Paulus' boyfriend, Jeromy Miller, 42, of Dayton was the last person known to be with her. He was arrested for charges unrelated to her death and according to jail records is still in custody.
