With God's Grace helps those in need through July 4th distribution
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - The sweltering heat and the holiday didn't stop one non-profit from working to help those in need in our community.
With God's Grace opened its doors to offer food to anyone in need on Springfield Street. More than 300 families were able to take home food, including one person who told FOX 45 News that she picks up food for her 90 year old cousin who can't get out and delivers it to her.
The pantry became even more important after a fire destroyed the Food for Less grocery store on East Third Street, further depriving those living in the food desert.
With God's Grace gets food from the Dayton Foodbank and donations from Dorothy Lane Market and Kroger to be able to help those in need.
