Where's that? Misspelled highway sign directs Columbus drivers to Cinicinnati

A sign on the 17th Avenue ramp to I-71 misspells Cincinnati (WSYX/WTTE)

Drivers trying to get to Cincinnati from the Ohio State fairgrounds area may run into a little confusion with the signs on I-71.

A misspelling on a large highway sign directs people to the non-existent city of "Cinicinnati"(note that extra "i") and has been getting a bit of attention. The sign is on the I-71 ramp from 17th Avenue.

So how does that happen?

"Contractor made the sign and installed it. We immediately notified them on the error on July 30. They are fixing at no cost to taxpayers. They claim it takes 6-8 weeks to make and ship sign, so should be fixed soon," ODOT's Press Secretary Matt Bruning told WKRC in Cincinnati.

The sign also caught the attention of people on Reddit, with people having a bit of fun with the misspelling. "If war is what they want, war is what they'll get," one Reddit user posted. Another simply summed it up with "Et tu, Buckeye?"
