Video: Five homes catch fire on same street as deadly Cleveland house explosion
CLEVELAND, Ohio - A total of five homes were damaged by a fire which sparked on the same street of a deadly house explosion in Cleveland.
Firefighters responded to East 125th Street in East Cleveland around midnight Wednesday and found two houses burning, but those flames quickly spread to three more homes.
Out of the five, three of the homes were vacant. Officials said the two that had the most damage were occupied, but no one was injured.
This all happened about half a mile from a home that exploded over the weekend, killing a 27 year old and injuring a 51 year old. The police department said the two were stealing metal from the home along with two 50-year-old men, and likely caused a natural gas leak.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
