URS Rubber Duck Regatta kicks off (WKEF/WRGT)

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - The United Rehabilitation Services' 14th Annual Rubber Duck Regatta kicked off today at the Austin Landing Kroger.

The campaign raises money and awareness for programs and therapies for children and adults with disabilities in our community.

You can adopt a rubber duck for $5 or a Quack Pack of six ducks for $25. You can adopt a duck by visiting daytonducks.com, any Dayton-area Kroger, Buffalo Wild Wings locations or by calling 235-DUCK.

The Regatta Campaign runs for eight weeks and ends with the spectacular drop of more than 20,000 yellow rubber ducks into the Great Miami River.

This year's drop will take place on September 16, 2017 at RiverScape MetroPark during the Hispanic Heritage Festival.

Prizes will be awarded to the top eight finishing ducks. Some of the prizes include a seven-bedroom houseboat vacation from Norris Lake Houseboat Rentals, a $1,000 Kroger gift card, a $500 James Free Jewelers gift card and a $1,000 Buffalo Wild Wings gift card.
