DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - The Foodbank received a $31,000 grant Thursday that will go toward continuing efforts to fight hunger in the Miami Valley.

The grant from the Walmart Foundation is designed to help through Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) education and outreach. The Foodbank is hoping to use the money to provide access to SNAP among eligible households, with an emphasis on seniors, families with children and other vulnerable positions.
