Teen still missing one year after his father was shot and killed in front of him
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - One year after a Beavercreek man was shot and killed in front of his three children, one of those children is still missing.
Robert Caldwell was shot and killed on Linden Avenue on August 15, 2017. Jacob Caldwell, who is now 15, hasn't been seen since shortly after the shooting. The FBI is offering a reward as they continue to search for him.
Six people have since been indicted in connection with Caldwell's death, including his ex-wife.
Sterling H. Roberts, 34, has been charged with murder and is accused of stalking and killing Caldwell. Authorities say he used a firearm he bought illegally to fatally shoot Caldwell along Linden Avenue in 2017. From August 1 to August 5 last year, authorities say Tawney Caldwell, the ex-wife of the victim, helped Roberts cyberstalk him.
Following Caldwell's death, authorities say Tawney Caldwell and her mother, Chandra Harmon, who has also been indicted, worked together to threaten and intimidate witnesses.
The suspects indicted are: Tawney Caldwell, Chance Deakin, Christopher Roberts, James T. Harmon, Chandra D. Harmon and Sterling H. Roberts.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the whereabouts of Jacob Caldwell to call Sugarcreek Township Police at 937-310-3200 or the FBI at 513-421-4310.
