Springfield woman arrested after fentanyl found in home with her 3 children
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A Springfield woman faces three charges of Child Endangering after police say they found fentanyl and what appeared to be manufacturing and trafficking operation inside her home, where her three small children live.
LaPrecious Anthony, 29, was arrested on November 8 after authorities searched her home on North Light Street in Springfield.
Detectives from the Clark County Sheriff's Office Vice & Organized Crime Task Force found what they say was a large quantity of suspected fentanyl hidden inside the freezer. Investigators say they found a digital scale, baggies and "cutting agents" used for resale.
Authorities say Anthony's three children, ages 2, 3 and 3, were living at the home which they say indicates the children were "regularly exposed to the dangers associated with the manufacture and trafficking of highly toxic illegal drugs." Anthony was taken into custody at the Clark County Jail on Felony Child Endangering charges, she has since pleaded 'not guilty' to those charges.
