DAYTON, Ohio (WRGT/WKEF)-High school students got to learned more about technology and science at the 2018 Dayton Regional TECHCORPShack Saturday.
Sinclair Community College hosted the event for high school students from Columbus, Zanesville and even right here in the Miami Valley.
The regional conference that is sponsored by ATT&T strives to get high school students engaged in computers science activities.
One of those activities gave students opportunity to create an app that will help tackle the Opioid Epidemic.
“It really makes me happy that I have the opportunity to help with this issue because having the youth talk about this, its great.” said Dunbar High School student Ty’lynne Bradley.
The students were split up into 15 different teams to compete against each other. Each member of the winning team won $500 dollars.
