DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – Santa joined the kids of Dayton for breakfast on Sunday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus attended the Sugarplum Festival of Trees at the Dayton Masonic Center.

This is the 50th year for the holiday extravaganza.

Breakfast with Santa began at 9:30.

Kids got to take pictures with him and shop in the Kid’s Holiday Shopping Korner, where they could get gifts for their family members.

The proceeds from the event are going to TWIG Auxiliary’s $1 million pledge to Mills Family Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Dayton Children’s Hospital

Co-chairs for Breakfast with Santa Amy Bolus and Claire Hardman told FOX 45 that this year’s turnout was the biggest one compared to the last few years.

More than 350 TWIG volunteers have worked year-round on the event.

“It helps raise awareness about Children’s Hospital and all the great things they’re doing,” said Hardman.
