National group comes to Versailles to teach about potential dangers of driving
VERSAILLES, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – A national group came to Versailles April 28 to help save the lives of high schoolers.
“Save A Life” tour has two different simulations for the students to go through. One simulation has the students try to answer text messages while driving and following the rules of the road, while another covers impaired driving.
One of Versailles’ High School seniors said the experience really opened her eyes.
“It was very scary. Very scary,” Lauren Heitkamp said. “Like, I was trying to respond to some of the answers, and like some of the questions and answering them and it wasn’t trying what I was saying. And I was trying to look at it and watch the road at the same time and I was swerving and it was really scary.”
The program came to the school just one day before Versailles’ prom.
