MARIETTA, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol is expected to be okay after the trooper's cruiser was hit by a semi Friday morning near Marietta.

The department posted photos of the crash scene which happened along Interstate 77. OSHP said the trooper was conducting a traffic stop when a semi crashed into the trooper's cruiser.

The trooper was taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with injuries not considered to be life-threatening. There were two others involved in the crash and were taken to a local hospital in Marietta.

Troopers are taking this scary scene as a reminder that drivers are required by law to move over or slow down when emergency vehicles are not moving with their lights on.
