Michigan woman killed in three-vehicle crash on I-75
SIDNEY, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A 44-year-old Michigan woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash on I-75 Monday afternoon.
Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers said a vehicle was going south on I-75 when the driver lost control, went across the median and hit a commercial vehicle that was headed north. The passenger in the vehicle, Stacie Jones, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the commercial vehicle was not injured. The driver of another commercial vehicle was included in the crash due to the vehicle hitting debris while trying to avoid the other two vehicles.
Emergency crews from Anna and Botkins EMS and fire departments responded, along with people from the Ohio Department of Transportation. The crash does remain under investigation.
