FAIRBORN, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – Hundreds of people gathered in Fairborn Monday to fight against the opioid epidemic.
The third annual Fairborn Against Heroin Recovery Rally in Central Park brought together recovering addicts to share their stories and organizers sharing resources to help those still trapped by addiction.
“Recovery’s the biggest family I’ve ever had,” Amber Knaub said. “It’s like, when you walk in, you’re completely welcome. Everyone gives you a hug and it’s instant family. If you need anything, they’ll do anything for you. This is a tight group and we all support each other.”
The group encourages accountability and support through its Facebook page, which you can find here.
