Good Samaritan North holds ribbon-cutting to celebrate name change and new services
ENGLEWOOD, Ohio (WRGT/WKEF)- Good Samaritan North Health Center held a ribbon cutting on Saturday to celebrate changing their name along with other changes being made to the facility.
Good Samaritan North will now be called Miami Valley Hospital North. Miami Valley Hospital North is adding an additional 82,000 in square feet as well as more parking options for patients and visitors.
System Chief Operating Officer of Premier Health and President of Miami Valley Hospital Mike Maiberger said that Miami Valley Hospital North will be slightly different from Good Samaritan North but will still provide the same level of care for patients.
“It won’t offer the same type of services on the same scale that Good Samaritan did but it will offer services that are very much needed in this part of our service community. As we said earlier, with 46 inpatient beds, 24-7 operation, and 24-7 availability. We will continue our proud tradition of 24-7 emergency operations and we will see how the future goes. But this is just the beginning.” said Maiberger.
Starting Monday, the facility will be called Miami Valley Hospital North. Other Good Samaritan sites will also undergo similar names changes. Good Samaritan Hospital will close down for good on July 23rd as well.
