Get a sneak-peek of the Memphis Belle exhibit before the public opening
RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Can't wait to check out the new Memphis Belle exhibit at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force?
If May 17 is just to long for you to wait, you can get a first look inside the exhibit through a live stream of a private event where it will be unveiled to family members of the Memphis Belle crew and invited dignitaries on May 16.
The entire event will be live streamed on the museum's website, and you can watch it from home by going to this website beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The original B-17F Memphis Belle has not been on public display since 2002. It's the first U.S. Army Air Forces heavy bomber to come back to the U.S. after completing 25 combat missions over occupied Europe.
Crews have been working to restore the plane before it goes on display exactly 75 years after its crew finished their last mission in the war against Nazi Germany.
