Former Ohio congressional candidate arrested for obstructing justice, other charges
SPRINGBORO, Ohio (WKRC) - A former Republican congressional candidate was arrested in Springboro Saturday morning.
Samuel Ronan, 28, was charged with obstructing justice, obstructing official business and failure to comply with an order from an officer after an incident near his home on Creekside Drive. Ronan livestreamed the encounter on Facebook:
Ronan ran in the 2018 primary for Ohio's 1st Congressional District as a Republican against Steve Chabot. Ronan also ran in the 2016 General Election as a Democrat.
Ronan was booked into the Warren County Jail and is being held on an $180,000 bond. He's schedule to be arraigned Tuesday.
