Former Miamisburg teacher accused of sexual misconduct with student found guilty
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A former Miamisburg teacher accused of sexual misconduct with a 14-year-old student has been found guilty on all charges.
Jessica Langford was indicted on three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and three counts of sexual battery as a teacher. On Thursday, the teen boy took the stand, giving graphic details of the alleged encounter. The boy was in 8th grade at the time at Miamisburg Middle School. The student testified that he and Langford began communicating on SnapChat during a school trip to Washington D.C. The teen said the alleged sexual encounter took place inside Langford's classroom.
The trial wrapped up Thursday and the jury began deliberations that night. The jury returned the guilty verdict just before 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Langford is set to be sentenced May 14.
