2 middle school students charged after Fairborn H.S. lockdown Thursday morning

UPDATE: Police said a threat on social media that prompted the school to lock down on Thursday stemmed from a threat made against "SHS".

The threat, which was traced back to a Springfield High School student, was shared on ShapChat with an additional caption that read "Fairborn schools next".

The female student admitted to officials that she made the post, and said that she did not think it was a "big deal".

After police took her into custody, another student was sent to the office for behavior issues after reportedly standing up in class and saying, "I'm not saying I am the shooter, but I am not saying I'm not," and named several people he wanted to "kill". He then admitted to the allegations and added that the people he named "frustrate him".

The girl was charged with Making Terroristic Threats and Indusing Panic, while he was charged with Inducing Panic and Aggravated Menacing.

They were both transported to Fairborn Jail, where they were processed, before the boy was released back to his mother, and the girl was transferred to the Greene County Juvenile Detention Center.
