BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - "Enough is enough," is the message Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones has for the county.

The sheriff's office posted a video to their Facebook page showing pictures of malnourished dogs, and of a dog warden going out to check on animals in the community.

"For somebody to abuse it, we're not going to tolerate it, we're not going to put up with it," the sheriff said in the video. "When you've got a little dog like this, how could you hurt a dog like this and not feed it and keep it in a cage."

Over the past few years, there have been several cases of dogs found emaciated in Butler County, as well as multiple cases of animal abuse.

"We've had enough of these, and it's time to stop," Sheriff Jones said.

If you're aware of a situation where an animal may be mistreated, you can contact officials through one of the numbers on this website.
