DPS educators learn more about apprenticeship opportunities (WKEF/WRGT)

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Dayton Public Schools 9th grade educators got a chance to learn more about apprenticeship opportunities and the potential impact of them Thursday.

Freshman year can be a critical year for students in shaping their long-term success in education and careers, so the city of Dayton, DPS, local labor unions and manufacturers teamed up to promote the opportunities to educators.

DPS Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Lolli said the district is excited to be a part of the workforce development project, and Mayor Nan Whaley said she's pleased to see the effort coming together.
