Dayton native Allison Janney gives her hometown a shout-out after her Oscar win

(WKEF/WRGT) - Fresh off her Oscar win for Best Supporting Actress, Dayton native Allison Janney is showing her hometown some love.

Janney tweeted a photo of The Neon that shows the theater congratulating the actress.

Janney responded in the tweet sending her love to Dayton and thanking the community for the support she's been given. She ended the tweet by saying she's proud to call Dayton home.

In addition to nabbing the Oscar for her role as LaVona Golden, the mother of Olympic figure skater Tonya Harding. Janney won in the Best Supporting Actress category in multiple awards shows, including the Golden Globes, BAFTA Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. When accepting the Academy Award this past Sunday night, Janney, who is known for her humor, took the stage and joked that "I did it all by myself."
