Dayton murder suspect arrested in Arizona by U.S. Marshals
DAYTON (WRGT) - A murder suspect from an incident reported in early June this year has been arrested.
Deonte Snowden, 34, was taken into custody in Mesa, Arizona, after an investigation by the Dayton Police Department.
Snowden was arrested in connection with a situation in the 1700 block of Riverview Avenue, where crews responded to the scene after multiple reports of shots fired and a possible victim.
Dayton Police investigated the case and filed a warrant in Montgomery County Court. Snowden was indicted on two counts of murder and two counts of felonious assault, charges that carry a three-year specification and weapons under disability charge from a prior felony conviction.
Detectives developed information during the investigation that Snowden was staying in Mesa, prompting the U.S. Marshals out of Dayton to reach out to their counterpart in Arizona for assistance.
Snowden was reportedly arrested in incident. He will remain in Arizona pending extradition to Ohio.
The U.S. Marshal’s Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team assisted in coordinating the arrest.
