Dayton City Commissioners plan for the future during meeting in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Dayton City Commissioners were planning for the future during a meeting at a Springfield hotel Friday night.
The commission said every so often, they have off-site meetings so they can get more creative in their thinking and planning.
While they were there, Mayor Nan Whaley said they planned to look long-term at budget issues and they're working on creating an Office of Sustainability to better get funding to reduce costs and make the city more efficient.
The meeting started late Friday afternoon, and depending on how much ground they cover, it could last until Saturday afternoon.
