HARRISON TOWNHIP, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A woman was killed Thursday morning in a crash caused by a tire that came off of a minivan.
The crash happened just before 7 a.m. Thursday on I-75 south at Needmore Road. According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, a 19-year-old woman was driving northbound in a minivan when the front left tire came off of it. The tire then went over the center wall into the southbound lanes. The tire hit a van then the windshield of a Ford Mustang being driven by a 53-year-old woman. The woman died at the scene. The Montgomery County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as Christina Tester, 53, of Huber Heights. According to the coroner, Tester died of injuries when the tire hit her windshield.
The crash remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
