Congressman Turner recognizes local students accepted into U.S. service academies
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Congressman Mike Turner (R - District 10) was in Dayton Friday to recognize students who are headed to U.S. service academies.
The students were all from Turner's district, and were nominated for their position.
Washington High School Graduate Joshua Trimmer is heading to the U.S. Military Academy, and said he always wanted to do some type of military service.
"We live in the greatest country in the world," he said, "and I think that an opportunity for me to also learn and help others is something bigger than myself, and that's amazing."
This year, 7 local students were accepted into service academies.
