Celebrate Black History Month at the National Afro-American Museum
WILBERFORCE, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Celebrate Black History Month with the rich history at the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center.
The exhibits on display range from the new World War II exhibit African Americans Fighting for a Double Victory to the Freed Will: The Randolph Freedpeople exhibit.
The Freed Will exhibit tells the story of the Randolph family from enslavement in Virginia to settlement in Ohio.
“It’s really an incredible collection of photographs and we encourage anyone who’s interested or who has a tie to this exhibit to come visit us,” says Assistant Curator, Hadley Drodge.
The exhibit will run until April.
The Museum and Cultural Center has something for all ages and goes beyond the 10,000 square foot space.
“We have a world class archival exhibit that is actually in a separate building so there’s lots to see,” says Executive Director, Charles Wash.
The Wilberforce Museum is celebrating its 30th year.
