"Buckskin Girl" who was found murdered in Miami County to have proper funeral on Friday

MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A woman who was found murdered in Miami County will be laid to rest Friday after about 37 years.

Marcia L. King was 21 years old when she was found dead along Greenlee Road. When her body was found, she was wearing jeans and a fringed buckskin jacket with a Native American design on it. She was known as "Buckskin Girl" from the time she was found up through April of this year, when they were able to identify her as an Arkansas woman.

According to the Troy Daily News, a headstone has been created for her and will be placed on Friday.

While one part of this cold case has been solved, investigators continue to look for King's killer and what brought her to Miami County from Arkansas.
