COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Is cursive making a comeback in Ohio?

House Bill 58 would make it so curriculum would be developed to teach children in kindergarten through fifth grade how to write in cursive. It would also require students be able to print letters legibly by the end of third grade and write in cursive by the end of the fifth grade.

The course would be optional for teachers.

The Senate and the House have both passed the bill, sending it to the governor's desk.
