DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A 1-year-old baby girl is listed in critical condition after medics were called to a home on Torrence Street overnight Sunday. In a 911 call, the grandparents told dispatchers the baby's grandmother was checking on her when she found the baby not breathing.

During the call, the grandparents told a dispatcher they were giving the baby CPR. She was later taken to Dayton Children's Hospital.

While at the home, Dayton Police called for help from the Montgomery Animal Resource Center. A representative from ARC says the home was deplorable and there were several animals removed. The ARC removed a dog and the Humane Society of Greater Dayton took away a rabbit and boa constrictor. According to ARC there were more than a dozen dead snakes in the home.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
