AMBER Alert for 9-year-old Indiana boy canceled, boy found safe
UPDATE: Our sister station in South Bend, WSBT, reports that John Gyuriak has been found safe, according to authorities.
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WKEF/WRGT) - A statewide AMBER Alert has been issued for an Indiana boy authorities say was abducted by his non-custodial mother.
John Gyuriak, 9, was last seen wearing a red Chicago Bulls jersey with "Rose #1" on the back. He was also wearing black Under Armor shorts that have a white stripe. He also has a scar above his right eye. He is 4'1" tall and weighs 70 pounds.
According to police, Gyuriak was abducted in South Bend by his non-custodial mother, Areca Gyuriak, 29, who is believed to be driving a 2008 tan Dodge Charger.
