I'm from Smyrna, Tennessee, which is about 20 miles southeast of Nashville. I fell in love with news in the eighth grade when I was asked to anchor my school's first morning announcements. I was hooked from the first day.
I joined the ABC 22/FOX 45 news team after graduating from Ball State University in May with Bachelors degrees in Journalism and Telecommunications. While in school I worked for Indiana Public Radio as both a reporter and a Board Operator. My favorite NPR shows are Fresh Air and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me.
Outside of the newsroom, I was a punter for Ball State's Division I football team for four years, lettering my senior year. I was also the President of Mortar Board, Ball State's senior honor society and a member of the honors college.
If I happen to have any extra time, I tend to spend it on a disc golf course. I fell in love with the game during college and hope to eventually play in all 50 states.
I am excited to become part of the Dayton community and look forward to meeting as many of you as possible.
Please reach out to me with any story ideas you may have, and if you see me outside of work feel free to say hello!
