WRIGHT STATE UNIVERSITY (WKEF/WRGT) - Thurgood Marshall graduate and Wright State University junior Mark Alstork will be released from the basketball team.

Alstork asked to be released from the team and, as he's set to graduate, can transfer and play where he would like for his final year of eligibility. Right now Alstork is exploring his NBA Draft option, and can take part in workouts with NBA teams and in the combine if he's invited. He has not hired an agent, which means he can return to school and keep his final year of eligibility.

Alstork was named to the 2017 Horizon League First Team as well as the National Association of Basketball Coaches Second team following a stellar season that saw him average 19.0 points and 4.7 rebounds. Alstork ranked third in the league in overall scoring at 19.0 points per game, eighth in assists per game at 3.5, fourth in free throw percentage at 85 percent and seventh in threes made per game at 2.2. He posted the league’s fourth-best scoring performance with his career-high with 39 points against Toledo.
