Top 22 - 2017: Butler's Trey Sanders
VANDALIA -- Butler wide receiver Trey Sanders has had a knack for making the big play his first two seasons at the varsity level.
He's averaged 21.2 yards per catch between his sophomore and junior seasons.
Not only has Sanders hauled in 15 touchdown passes over that span but he's returned two kickoffs for touchdowns too.
In 2016 Sanders twice earned FOX 45's Play of the Week honor. After returning two kickoffs for touchdowns against Wilmington he was named FOX 45's Player of the Week.
Now a senior Sanders is hoping to help push the Aviators back to the postseason.
"He's that kid when you retire as a coach you're going to say that was arguably the once in a lifetime kid that you get," Butler head coach Nathan Hyatt said.
"He's a very special, very talented football player."
