Dragons edge Lugnuts in 11 innings
DAYTON, Ohio (WRGT) -- After splitting the first two games of their series, the Lansing Lugnuts and Dayton Dragons need extra innings to decide the rubber match. The Dragons score in the bottom of the 11th to take the series.
Both teams managed to plate a run in the first inning before both pitchers settled in for four scoreless innings. It got interesting in the middle of the game when the Dragons ripped a shot at Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The son of the Angel's great made a diving catch, but couldn't get it out of his glove. The ball became stuck in the webbing from the speed of the hit.
A Hector Vargas single in the bottom of the 11th scored Cassidy Brown to end the game.
