UD sophomore John Crosby to transfer

DAYTON – University of Dayton men’s basketball coach Anthony Grant has announced that sophomore guard John Crosby has requested and received a release from his scholarship with the intention to transfer.

Crosby, a 6-foot-2 player from Baltimore, Md., came off the bench in 64 games in his two seasons at Dayton. He averaged 2.6 points and 1.1 assists a game while shooting .333 (62-186) from the field, .378 (17-45) from 3-pt. range, and .471 (24-51) from the line.

Dayton was 24-8 in 2016-17, winning the Atlantic 10 Conference regular season championship with a 15-3 league record. The Flyers are one of 19 teams who have played in the last four NCAA tournaments.
