UD hits 100 again in win over Saint Louis
DAYTON (UD Athletics) – The University of Dayton women's basketball team defeated Saint Louis at UD Arena, 101-76.
The Flyers (12-4, 5-0 A-10) remain unbeaten in Atlantic 10 play while the Billikens (8-8, 2-2 A-10) suffer their second conference loss.
Jordan Wilmoth's jumper with 6:35 remaining in the second quarter, sparked a 16-0 Dayton run and the Flyers never looked back.
1st Quarter: Dayton 25, Saint Louis 20
At the first media timeout, Dayton led 10-9.
Dayton was 8-of-25 (32%) from the field in the first quarter.
Jenna Burdette and Lauren Cannatelli led the way for Dayton as they combined for 19 of the 25 first quarter points.
Saint Louis was 6-for-15 (40%) for the first quarter.
2nd Quarter: Dayton 50, Saint Louis 34
At the media timeout, Dayton led 33-30.
Dayton had 15 second chance points to Saint Louis' zero.
The Flyers went on a 16-0 run with 6:35 remaining in the quarter.
Jackie Kemph layup with 45 seconds left in the half ended the Dayton run.
The Flyers were 16-for-44 (36%) from the field in the first half.
Dayton was also red hot from behind the arc in first half, as they were 5-of-9 (55.6%).
Jenna Burdette led the Flyers in scoring in the first half with 20.
JaVonna Layfield led Dayton in rebounding with 11.
