Flyers face Fordham in sold-out showdown Saturday night


A sold-out UD Arena awaits as the University of Dayton Flyers host the Fordham Rams on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.

UD leads the series 29-5 and has won the last 13 meetings.

The Flyers won last year at Fordham, 75-66.


Since the 2012-13 season, Dayton has the most conference regular season wins with 72.

VCU is next with 71, followed by St. Bonaventure (66), Richmond (61), Saint Louis (59), George Washington (58) and Saint Joseph's (58).

The Flyers have won the Atlantic 10 regular season title in back-to-back seasons.


Dayton is 10-2 this year scoring 71 or more points in regulation, 1-10 scoring 70 or fewer.

UD is allowing 74.0 points per game, the highest average by a Dayton team since the 1994-95 campaign when opponents scored 77.5 per contest.

With an overall strength of schedule at 41, the Flyers have played the toughest schedule among Atlantic 10 schools.

The Flyers have not lost 14 games in a season since the 2012-13 campaign.

Dayton's offense ranks fourth in the country in 2-point field-goal percentage (.591).

In conference play, Dayton leads the A-10 in field goal percentage (.496) and assists (17.3).

An opponent's bench has out-scored Dayton's bench in 12 of the last 14 games.

Dayton is averaging 82.2 points per game and 16.1 made free throws in its victories. In Flyer losses, UD averages 67.0 points and 10.0 free throws made per contest.

Josh Cunningham, a two-time Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, leads the Flyers with eight double-doubles this season. He is third in the A-10 with 8.6 rebounds per game.

Cunningham leads the A-10 and ranks ninth in the NCAA in field goal percentage (.657).

Cunningham has scored in double figures in 14 straight contests and 17 of the last 18 games.

Darrell Davis has scored in double figures in 14 straight contests.

Davis ranks third the Atlantic 10 in free throw percentage overall (.862) and second in conference play (.900).

Trey Landers has scored in double figures in seven of his last 10 games.

Jalen Crutcher has scored in double figures in eight of his last 12 games. He reached double figures in points twice in his first 13 contests.

In road games, Crutcher averages 12.7 points per game, while at home he averages 7.7.
