Dragons push Whitecaps to Game 3 in East Division Playoffs.

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (WRGT/WKEF) -- The Dayton Dragons are do-or-die in their ongoing fight with West Michigan. At this point, we are headed to the 12th round with the Dragons beating the Whitecaps in game two to keep their playoff dreams alive in the East Division.

Taylor Trammell singled in the first to score Randy Ventura. The first three Dragons got on base. Both starters settled in after that with Alfred Gutierrez striking out eight batters in just four innings.

Ventura knocked in Cassidy Brown in the eighth to give the team a two run lead heading into the final frame. A rally in the bottom of the ninth made it a one run game, but Dauri Moreta was able to stop the bleeding and secure the save.

Game three will be Friday at West Michigan.
