Looking for some fun this weekend, here's what's happening
Taste of Greene County:
This Sunday is the taste of Greene County from 12 – 3 at Wright State University’s Nutter Center. There will be 24 area restaurants competing for the best in Greene County, and you can enjoy samples from all of them. Tickets are now only available at the door for $20.00.
Glen Helen Annual 5k-10k:
To celebrate Earth Day this weekend, the Glen Helen Nature Preserve is having a run/walk event from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost to run is $25 to $35 dollars. To register just go online, registration opens at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday
This Sunday is Hollywood Gaming’s first ever cruise-in. They will have live music, great food, cold beer, and of course some of the best rides in Dayton. Everything from hot rods, antiques classics, and sports cars will be on display from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Record Store Day 2017:
If you are a lover of the classics, you might want to check out Record Store Day this Saturday. Each year record stores everywhere open their doors for one huge sale – local shops in the area which are participating are Omega music in the Oregon District, Classic Country Connection in Xenia, and Toxic Beauty in Yellow Springs.
The Main Event:
It’s the debut of the new Main Library on 3rd Street in Dayton. The Main Event will be filled with performances, activities, crafted drinks, and food. Everyone will be greeted with a red carpet welcome. From 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night. All proceeds benefit the Dayton Metro Library Foundation.
