Watch the eclipse while floating on the Great Miami River
(WKEF/WRGT) - Adventures on the Great Miami is offering a unique way to experience the great solar eclipse. The company is offering the chance to watch the eclipse while floating on the river.
If you're lucky, you won't have to do much work to stay afloat to catch some of the best views. That's because Brian Johnson with Adventures on the Great Miami says there's no better place to view of the eclipse than the Great Miami River.
"It's calm, there's a lot of beaches and it's wide open, so there's not a lot of coverage overhead so you'll be able to view the eclipse from the river pretty much the entire time."
The company is offering eclipse floats, busing people at 12:30pm from their Tipp City property to embark on an eclipse river trip on a device of your own risk.
"We'll be offering stand up paddle boards, rafts, kayaks, canoes,” says Johnson.
While paddle boarding may look intimidating it's actually the most stable of the bunch.
"The rafts and this paddle board are great for families and great for inexperienced folks who have never been out for," says Johnson.
You're going to want to show up early. With 150 seats available, the eclipse floats are first come first serve.
People can even bring their own boat, which the company can transport, or you take advantage of the thrills offered right here at Adventures on the Great Miami.
