Undercover agents say strippers bought food stamp cards, sold drugs at The Harem
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – Undercover agents revealed more dark dealings that led to a bust at a local strip club.
Investigators said they found drugs, prostitution and food stamp trafficking at The Harem in Harrison Township, and they returned to court Thursday for a second hearing.
Prosecutors are trying to prove the owners knew illegal activities were going on, but did nothing about it.
Agents claimed strippers offered to buy food stamp cards for drugs or cash. They also said the girls would frequently sell fentanyl, cocaine and heroin to customers.
“You went in to the private dancer to exchange the drugs,” an agent testified.
“How did that happen?” that agent was asked.
“She pulled the drugs out of her panties and said I secured them. She took off her top and began to dance,” the agent explained.
If prosecutors convince a judge the owners knew about the alleged criminal activity, they could face a nuisance abatement, which would close The Harem for at least a year or longer.
