UD and Fuyao team up for program that will take students to China
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – The University of Dayton and Fuyao Glass America teamed up to become partners in learning April 19.
University leaders and Fuyao unveiled the program together that will begin in the Miami Valley and end in China.
UD River Stewards will complete their coursework for the class at UD before heading to China for three weeks in May to study the effect of China’s growth on their waterways.
“And we’re really excited to go to another country, and to take this program internationally,” director of river stewards Leslie King said, “and we couldn’t have a better partner than the UD China institute.”
The River Stewards program is a 3-year interdisciplinary program that engages undergraduates in experimental and community-engaged learning opportunities around the Great Miami River Watershed.
