Ohio Sheriff's deputy shot; suspect still at large

FULTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A 20-year veteran of the Fulton County Sheriff's Office in northwestern Ohio is expected to survive after he was shot overnight during a traffic stop.

The deputy was airlifted to a hospital in Toledo, he has not yet been identified. The suspect, however, has been identified as 18-year-old Jeshua Gilmore. Fulton County Sheriff Roy Miller says there was a short chase and Gilmore's vehicle became disabled, Miller says Gilmore started shooting when he got out of his vehicle. Gilmore is considered to be armed and dangerous. The vehicle Gilmore was driving, according to Sheriff Miller was reported as stolen.

There was a passenger in the vehicle Gilmore was driving, he was taken into custody but it's not clear if he faces any charges.
