Motion filed to lift Skylar Richardson's house arrest
CARLISLE, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - The same day that Brooke "Skylar" Richardson's trial was supposed to begin, her lawyer has filed a motion to lift her house arrest.
Her trial was delayed after attorneys for the 19 year old appealed a ruling from Thursday on disputed medical testimony in the case.
Richardson is charged with aggravated murder, involuntary manslaughter, gross abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and child endangering. She is accused of killing and burying her newborn baby in her family's backyard in Carlisle.
So far, no updated date has been given as to when her trial will begin.
