Bottled water still being handed out following Miamisburg boil advisory
UPDATE: A day after a boil advisory was issued in Miamisburg, bottled water is still being handed out for those who need it.
Water will be handed out until 5:00 p.m. at the municipal building on 600 North Main Street in Miamisburg.
Tests are currently being done on the water.
MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A boil water advisory has been issued in Miamisburg following a mechanical failure at the city's water treatment facility, according to an official with the city.
The advisory was issued around 10 a.m. April 20, and was reportedly issued as a precaution for the next 24 hours for the affected area.
About 1,900 residential and business customers will be affected by the advisory, and they should boil all water used for drinking, cooking or oral hygiene for at least one minute.
Free bottled water is also available for affected residents during daytime hours at the Municipal Service Center at 600 N. Main Street. Between 5 and 10 p.m. April 20, anyone who needs water can stop by the Miamisburg Senior Adult Center at 305 E. Central Avenue instead.
